Non-invasive bladder monitoring is a real-time and non-invasive evaluation of the bladder function during voiding to aid in the diagnosis of bladder outlet obstruction (BOO) based on Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) technology to assess hemodynamic changes in the detrusor muscle.
The microcirculation status differs in the healthy and diseased bladder during voiding and is reflected in characteristic NIRS signals.
