At this one day meeting ahead of the DDW in San Diego, a world class faculty will review the advances in understanding and clinical practice that follow from the introduction of High Resolution Manometry and the application of the recently presented Chicago Classification of Criteria of Esophageal Motility Disorders. Throughout the focus will be on clinical practice, highlighting how the information provided by High Resolution Manometry can provide an explanation for patient symptoms, establish definitive diagnosis and guide effective management.Acknowledgements'Advances in clinical investigation of Oesophageal Motility and Gastro-Oesophageal Reflux Disease' is supported and / or endorsed by the following grant giving bodies and institutions:
Highlights of Conference Proceedings, including the 'Chicago Classification of Esophageal Motility Disorders Defined in High Resolution Esophageal Pressure Topography' developed in collaboration with the High Resolution Manometry Working Group, have been published in a dedicated supplement of Neurogastroenterology and Motility.
